3 Ways to get rid of cervical pain

Neck pain, also called cervical pain, is often manifested by headaches, difficulties in concentrating, dizziness or vision problems. It can also be manifested by pain during neck movement, stiffness, tension, shoulder pain, or numbness in the arms.

Relaxation exercises – A special set of exercises for back and spine can eliminate pain sensations without resorting to surgery. You can start by rotation of the shoulders and neck, bending the neck in front, performing stretching exercises for the upper back and bending the back. It is advisable to do this twice a day, in the morning after waking up and in the evening before bedtime.

Hot or cold compresses – If cervical pain is caused by an injury, it is recommended to use cold compresses, especially in the first 24 hours, to relieve pain. Pay attention, ice cubes should never be applied directly to the skin surface. You can also use hot compresses.

Use aromatic oils to relax – Massage the neck and upper back with aromatic oils to relax the muscles. Also, you will speed up the healing process.

No matter where you are, take into account the posture of the head, shoulders and back. In the majority of cases, cervical pain is caused by an incorrect posture of the body.

Good to know! Drink as much water as possible to avoid dehydration of the body. This is important for the normal functioning of the muscular system and the nervous system.
