How To Properly Remove Bacteria From Your Smartphone

You probably don’t think twice before using your smartphone anywhere – from the morning routine, while eating and at the doctor’s office. But researches show that the phone is more dirty than you think, and the more bacteria it gets, the more germs you touch.

Do you want to clean your smartphone from bacteria? Here’s how you can do this!

In fact, your hands are the biggest reason when it comes to the bacteria on your phone. Americans check their phones about 47 times a day, according to a survey conducted by Deloitte, and this activity gives to microorganisms a lot of opportunities to move on the phone from the fingers.

People take their phones with them even in situations where they would normally wash their hands before doing anything. The phones tend to become very dirty. Research tried to find out how many germs are on the cell phone on average, and a recent study concluded that more than 17,000 bacterial genes exist on high school students’ phones. Scientists at the University of Arizona have found that cell phones carry 10 times more bacteria than most toilet seats.

Human skin is naturally covered by microbes that usually don’t have health consequences. Natural bacteria plus hand-held oils are transmitted to your phone every time you read a message or send an e-mail.
The majority of organisms found on the phones are not pathogens that can get you sick. Staphylococcus may be present, but it will not cause you an infection. But also are present some bacteria that should worry you.

First, keep your phone away from the bathroom, and if you want to clean your  smartphone from bacteria, a few different ways can help you. Many people clean their phones with a soft microfiber cloth that will remove many germs. For a more intense cleaning, it’s recommended to use a solution made with 60% water and 40% alcohol. Mix the ingredients together, then soak a cloth in the solution before wiping the phone. Repeat this process several times each month. Avoid liquids and cleaning sprays that can damage the phone. Wash your hands several times a day, especially before using your phone.
