The eye swelling occurs when fluid is retained in the tissue of the face, making the skin under and around the eyes to swell. There are many reasons why your eyes may swell: sinus problems, allergies, hereditary problems, changes in weather, hormones, irritation from contact lenses, or thyroid problems. You can buy the cream to reduce eye puffiness, but these creams can be expensive and there is no guarantee that the ingredients are natural.Instead, you can use home remedies to reduce swelling with simple ingredients for a quick and easy solution.
Witch hazel
Witch hazel is a plant that has astringent properties that can be used to dry the infection and reduce swelling. Witch hazel is also used to make a cream to reduce eye puffiness. Cut a branch of the plant in late fall or winter, and peel the bark with a sharp knife. Cut the branch into small pieces, and place in a blender or food processor. Pour enough vodka in the blender to cover the witch hazel and the blades of the blender. Grate everything thoroughly, then pour the mixture into a jar with a lid. Let it sit for 5 to 6 weeks, shaking the jar once a day to mix the ingredients. Strain the liquid and separate it from the larger pieces of witch hazel, and then mix with 1 ½ ounce ( 45 cubic cm) of aloe vera and ½ ounce (45 cubic cm) oil vitamin E. Apply the witch hazel mixture under your eyes while you are lying down for 15 minutes.
Potato
Potatoes have natural properties that reduce eye puffiness. Finely grate a potato in a bowl, then flatten to achieve a slightly runny consistency. Put on some potato with your fingers and massage the skin under your eyes. Let it stand for 10 to 15 minutes while you lie on your back with your head slightly raised.
Milk
Use milk also. Dip two cotton balls in milk and place the cotton under your eyes. Leave them on your face until the milk is hot, and then repeat the process, adding more milk. Repeat this action several times to reduce the puffy appearance in your eyes. If you do not have milk by hand, dip cotton balls in ice water, which will also help reduce swelling slightly.
Tea bags
The tea bags with natural tannins, such as chamomile tea, also help deflate eyes. Prepare a cup of tea according to package directions, then allow tea bags to cool completely. Place tea bags beneath an eye on the swollen area. Leave to act for 15 minutes, then repeat the action on the other eye.
