Things to try if you don’t sleep well

There are many reasons why you can’t sleep well. From eating too much, to a mental disorder. Also, from the stress accumulated over the day, and the ongoing worries.

Nutritionists advise you to include in your diet products that contain tryptophan (milk, cow cheese, eggs). These cause the release of serotonin – a neurotransmitter that slows down the energy flow and provides your brain with the necessary disposition to sleep.In contrast, foods with tyramine (an antioxidant that stimulates brain activity) should be removed from the dinner menus. Avoid eating chocolate, potatoes, tomatoes, pickled cabbage or spinach. In the evening choose to drink warm milk with honey, yogurt with flax seeds. Try not to eat anything two hours before bedtime.

Reflexotherapists advise you to try a few herbal tinctures before bedtime. Your sleep can be reassuring if you take between 5 and 30 drops of lavender, gentian or valerian. If insomnia persists after taking these tinctures, it is advisable to consult a specialist. It is said that it is good to listen to Bach, Mozart or Vivaldi before bedtime. Try the aromatic baths as well. Uses the rose, chamomile, ylang-ylang, hay flowers essential oils. After the bath, massage your soles.

Psychologists advise you to give up all the harmful skills that can affect your sleep. Forget about the phone, the TV and the internet in the evening before bed. Don’t eat in bed and don’t force you to fall asleep. Sleep is a natural state that cannot be controlled. Think of something nice, listen to relaxing music and approach a positive attitude.
