Exercises to soothe tired eyes after a long day at the computer

You are used to make exercises for a flat abdomen to strengthen your body muscles, but no exercises to enhance your visual acuity. With these simple exercises, you will get rid of the feeling of exhausted eyes and keep you healthy at the same time.

After a hard period, in which you worked or spent hours in front of a computer, you can put into practice this simple method, for which you don’t even have to get up from the office. Just stop everything you do, rub your palms, close your eyes and put your palms on your eyes. Count up to five, exhaling and inhaling deeply. Open your eyes, wait a little, then repeat the exercise. Repeat this method five times or as many times as you want to feel better.

Look in another direction – If beside the feeling of tiredness and eye tension, you feel dizziness, double or blurred vision, try to this exercise:

– closes the monitor, tablet, smartphone and look in the other direction;

– look for an object about 3 meters from you and another object 10 meters away, both in front of you;

– stretch a hand in front of you, with your thumb raised and focus on your finger;

– put your arm down and looks at the 3-meter object, then at the 10-meter object and the 3-meter object again;

– repeat this exercise for a minimum of 5 times.

Give to your eyes a rest time – Close your eyes, put a finger on each eyelash, press a little, without putting too much pressure, then open your eyes. Repeat the procedure 5 or 10 times, giving each eye the time to return to light before closing them again.

Rotate your look –  Another simple exercise involves rotating your eyes while keeping your eyes open. Look first at the left, then right, up and down, then turn left and right. You need to repeat this exercise 5 to 10 times. It is important not to hurry or move your head at the same time,  to avoid dizziness.

Make a surprised face – When you have tired eyes it helps you look in the mirror and look stunned. Open your eyes as wide as possible and keep them for 5 seconds. Repeat the exercise 10 times.
