10 Symptoms That You Might Have Suffered A Minor Stroke

In order to protect yourself, you must learn how to recognize the first symptoms of a stroke, after which you must react immediately.

1. Problems with eyesight

A stroke could cause a double picture, a blurry picture, or complete loss of sight on one or both eyes. 44% of the people that suffered one said that losing your eyesight is one of the more important symptoms.

2. Sudden headache and dizziness

A headache is an important sign of a stroke amongst women younger than 45. Therefore, if these symptoms happen to you often, consult a doctor.

3. Difficulty in speech

One of the first signs of a stroke is unconnected speech. At the beginning, it manifests through confusing about time and space, and later it crosses over to complete loss of the ability to speak, which leads to confusion.

4. Weakness in the extremities

After a stroke, the extremities usually become weaker. Moreover, they get harder to control or
become completely paralyzed. In most cases it is the hand or the leg on the
opposite side of the brain hemisphere where the stroke happened that suffers.

Put out both hands with the palms turned up and hold them in that position for 10 seconds. If one hand starts falling uncontrollably, that shows weakness in the muscles. Thus, that could be a sign of a stroke.

5. Pain on one side of the face

Pain is usually not a typical symptom of a brain attack. However, if you feel sudden and strong pain in your extremities or one side of your face that would be an obvious sign.

6. Headache and migraine

Sudden and extremely crucifying pain, which can be categorized as one of the worst ones you’ve had, is often a symptom. This kind of pain, in combination with a stroke, usually appears amongst women. Nevertheless, there are younger people who have suffered of migraine.

7. Face paralysis

If you cannot control the muscles on one side of your face, it is almost obvious that you’ve had a stroke.

8. Exhaustion

Researches have shown that amongst women, stroke is connected with symptoms such as fatigue, confusion, disorientation, and exhaustion.

9. Hiccups

This warning symptom often presents amongst women. Hiccups occur as a result of an attack on the center for breathing in the brain.

10. Labored breathing and tachycardia

Labored breathing and lack of air are a result of heart arrhythmia. Even though it appears amongst women more often, these symptoms should not be ignored in any case.
